FIFA 21 is the most recent installment in the world-famous series of football simulation games developed by Electronic Arts. The game was released in October 2020 for Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch while a boosted version of the game later appeared on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The game requires at least 50 GB of storage space if you plan to install it on your Windows computer.

Explore all the different modes

Being a continuation in the series of games, there are both familiar things about FIFA 21 and also new additions. The game provides you with over 700 teams that can play in more than 90 stadiums around the world. In FIFA, there are over 30 leagues from different countries, which is definitely impressive.

The game has beautiful realistic graphics and well-suited sounds, which makes it a highly immersive game. When it comes to gameplay, there are four main modes that you can join and the gaming experience will be completely different. They include Career Mode, Volta Football, House Rules, and Ultimate Team. The Career Mode is all about managing your team, training them, and dealing with transfers. While the mode has been present in previous FIFA versions, now the game has improved the AI of opponents, added more interesting transfer options, and it’s also possible to choose if you want to play matches more or manage the team. The player development has been enhanced as well.

House Rules has returned to the series in this game. In this mode, it’s possible to have a game without any rules or have the ones different from standard football. It offers a good way to switch things up between official game matches. In VOLTA FOOTBALL, you can play on small-sized playgrounds together with friends and it’s all about the tradition of street football. In the Ultimate Team, you can create your dream team and FIFA 21 now provides co-op, so you can join a friend and together play against others. Also, there are now more ways to customize the team.

Improvements to the game are apparent

The developers of FIFA 21 considered their previous mistakes, but the career mode still requires some tweaks. The replay value of the game is high because no match is ever the same when you play and all the different modes increase this even more. In terms of graphics, the changes are minimal but the visuals have already been great in the previous installments. The controls are fairly convenient but there is a lot to remember if you have never played other games in the series before. Overall, the game is a definite improvement from FIFA 20 and has some pleasant additions.

  • Excellent commentary and sound
