Stardew Valley is a farming simulation role-playing game for PC, Mac, Linux, and now consoles. It is developed by ConcernedApe and is available now on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

In Stardew Valley you inherit your grandfather's old farm plot in a small town as he has passed away. He left you a letter advising you to move on from your life in the city and start a new life on the farm. You will need to learn how to grow crops, raise animals, make friends, and achieve your life goals.

Gameplay

Stardew Valley gameplay is pretty similar to Harvest Moon gameplay, but at the same time it's more complicated. It has a lot of details and elements which make the gameplay more challenging and fun.

You start the game by creating your character. You can choose gender and appearance of your character. You can change your appearance later, but you can't change your gender. When your character wakes up at his/her new home, it's time to start farming. You can go and talk to your neighbors and they will give you some advice on how to start your first day of farming. You can go and mine some stones if you want to. You can use them to construct buildings or to craft items. You can go and explore the area and do some fishing.

Graphics

Stardew Valley graphics are simple and very nice. I have never seen a game with a drawing similar to this. It's a fantastic game with fantastic graphics. This is a great example of pixel art.

Replayability

Stardew Valley replayability is very high. There are many things you can do in the game. You can fish, plant crops, farm, mine, fight monsters, befriend townsfolk, upgrade your farm, upgrade your tools, upgrade your house, go to the casino, go on dates with various people, donate to the temple, etc. Of course, there are things that you will always do in the game. For example, you will always farm and you will always donate to the temple (or you will always stay away from the temple). However, you can do these things in different ways. For example, you can farm in the spring and summer and then in the fall and winter, you can mine and fish.

Controls

Stardew Valley controls are not complicated. You can play it with keyboard or gamepad. The game (for the most part) is mouse-only, but you can use WASD to navigate menus. It's pretty simple.

Conclusion

Stardew Valley is a great game that I really recommend. You can buy it on Steam. It's one of the best games that I played recently. Stardew Valley is available on Steam.
