Teardown is an action game that combines both the genres of puzzle and sandbox. Developed and published by Tuxedo Labs in October 2020, the game has received a positive reaction from critics and players. It is currently available only for Windows and to install it on your computer, you should have at least 2 GB of storage space available.
Use force and your creative skills
The storyline of the game revolves around the work of Lockelle Teardown Services, a company that has got into debt and now has to get out of it by getting some questionable jobs. At first, the jobs that a company gets seem more or less normal but as the game progresses, you have to destroy buildings, steal cars, open safes, and much more.
Teardown offers five open-world levels for players to explore and all of them are made of destructible voxels. It means that you get a great degree of freedom when it comes to the interaction with this world. You can use various tools, such as guns, bombs, hammers, and much more, and any object or building that comes your way can be destroyed. When you continue playing, you can upgrade whatever tools you acquire using your money. You earn cash in the game by collecting all the valuable items hidden in different places of the open world. It is possible not only to destroy but also put objects on top of each other to get to places and even build structures.
What adds an adrenaline rush to the game is the timer. The game is not timed up until the moment you do something illegal and the alarm goes off. When this happens, a player has only 60 seconds to run away. In the sandbox mode, you get all the vehicles you may need and no limitations on your resources, so you can play for pleasure and not feel rushed.
The graphics of the game are moody and absolutely beautiful. It’s immediately obvious that developers come from Sweden, as they created an atmosphere of the Nordic city with its buildings and different environments. When it comes to controls, the game is easy to get into and uses the standard keyboard layout.
Enjoy the destruction to the max
Teardown is one of those games that allow you to go all in. You can choose to peacefully enjoy the sandbox mode or stand up to the challenge in the main storyline. The game is responsive and has excellent physics, so all the destruction looks realistic. As you go through the game, you will get new challenges, run into interesting characters, get new tools, and more. The replay value of the game is fairly high – you will most likely enjoy replaying it because you won’t notice everything on the first run. There is also a built-in level editor, so you can create everything from tools and sandbox maps to mini-games and vehicles. It’s also possible to see what the community has created.
